ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a technology that enables rapid transfer of information through regular telephone lines.

There are three kinds of ADSL modems available for purchase/lease: External modem which connects to the network adapter of your computer, USB external modem, and internal ADSL modem.

There are three main connection methods for the various modems to connect: PPTP, PPPoE, and usb modems:
