ADSL [PPPoE] - Mac OS 10.5

Notes:

Step

 

  • Click the Apple icon.

  • Choose System Preferences

 

Step

 

  • Click Network

Step

 

  • Choose: Edit Locations ... Under Location.

Step

 

  • Click Add ( + )

  • Type: huji-adsl

  • Click: Done

Step

 

  • Choose the new location: huji-adsl

Step

 

  • Click Add ( + ) at the bottom of the network connection services list.


Step

 

  • Choose PPPoE from the Interface list.

Step

 

  • Click Create

Step

 

  • In the Account Name: field type your username%ra@huji
    [CS users: username%tcs@huji]

  • In the password field fill
    your password (remember that you need to change the password every three months)

    or type a full OTP password (activation code + generated password from the card)
  • Mark the option Show PPPoE status in menu bar.

  • Click Advances...

Step

 

  • Click on the DNS tab.

  • Click Add ( + ) at the bottom of the DNS Servers box and type: 128.139.6.1

  • Click again on the add sign + and type: 128.139.4.3

  • Click Add ( + ) at the bottom of the Search Domains box and type: huji.ac.il

  • Click OK and close thw window.

Step

 

  • Click the network icon from the top-right corner of the your screen.

  • Click Connect/ Disconnect.
