MathType 7- Installation Guide for Windows

NOTES:

• You will receive your product key with your order form. Please keep your Product Key(s) in a safe place in case you ever need to reinstall your software.
• System requirements: Microsoft Windows 7, 8/8.1,, and 10.
  

Unzip the folder downloaded.

How to decomperss a zip file on Windows 8

Step 1
After downloading a .zip file and opening it, the list of compressed file should appear. The tab Compressed folder tools is chosen automaticlly, if not - choose it. Click Extract all.

Step 2
Choose a destenation folder (optional, you can keep default). Click Extract.

Step 3
This window should appear and afterwards the list of decompressed files.

Installing MathType

• Installing MathType:
  Launch the installer you downloaded, MathType-win-en.exe

Click I agree

Step
Click OK

Step
Click Exit Setup

Step
Open the Mathtype application that you installed. You will receive the following message. Click OK.

Step
Click Enter a product key.

Step
Enter your Name, Email address and the Product key that you received from the Microshop. Click on I accept the terms and conditions. Click on Activate.



• Learn MathType:
  Once you have installed MathType we recommend that you run MathType and take 15 minutes to look through the introductory tutorials that will give you basic equation editing expertise. You can find these tutorials by choosing “MathType Tutorial” on MathType’s Help menu. Click on “Fractions and square roots” to start.
