Configuring Automatic Windows Updates

(Recommended for home computers)

 
Checking for the Latest Engine

 

  • Load Internet Explorer
  • Go to Tools-->Windows Update
Note for Internet Explorer 7 users:
If the Tools menu does not appear press the alt key.

Checking for the Latest Engine
  • If you don't get this message, just continue to step 1.
  • If you get the message click go and follow further instructions:

  • Go to Start-(Settings) Control Panel

Step

  • Double click Automatic Updates.

Step

 

  • mark the option: Automatic

  • Choose the time you wish your computer will look for updates.

  • Click OK.
