Setting up username & password for OTP

Dialup modem / ADSL Alcatel Usb

Step 1

 

  • Go to the Apple-->System Preferences. Double click the Network icon.

 

Step 2

 

  • Make sure your correct Location appears in the pop-up Location menu.

  • Choose Internal Modem from the Show pop-up menu.

 

Step 3

 

  • Click the PPP tab.

  • Choose Internal Modem from the Show pop-up menu.

  • In the user name field type your ID number%ra.
    For example: 98765432%ra

  • Your ID number should match the one that appears in your pay slip/student's payment book. Type only 8 digits without the control digit.

  • In the password field type a full OTP password.
    Type first your activation code and then the generated password which appears on your OTP card's display.

  • Mark the Save Password option.

  • Click the Apply Now button.

 

ADSL Samsung/ECI

Step 1

 

  • Go to the Apple-->System Preferences. Double click the Network icon.

 

Step 2

 

  • Make sure your correct Location appears in the pop-up Location menu.

  • Choose Buit-in Ethernet from the Show pop-up menu.

 

Step 3

 

  • Click the PPPoE tab.

  • Choose Buit-in Ethernet from the Show pop-up menu.

  • In the user name field type your ID number%ra.
    For example: 98765432%ra

  • Your ID number should match the one that appears in your pay slip/student's payment book. Type only 8 digits without the control digit.

  • In the password field type a full OTP password.
    Type first your activation code and then the generated password which appears on your OTP card's display.

  • Mark the Save Password option.

  • Click the Apply Now button.

 



Cables / ADSL Home Alcatel - Ethernet

Step 1

  • Go to Apple-->Location, and choose your correct location from the list.

  • Go to your application folder and double click Internet Connect.

  • In the user name field type your ID number%ra.
    For example: 98765432%ra

  • If you are connected via ADSL type:
    ID number%ra@huji
    For example: 98765432%ra@huji

  • Your ID number should match the one that appears in your pay slip/student's payment book. Type only 8 digits without the control digit.

  • In the password field type a full OTP password.
    Type first your activation code and then the generated password which appears on your OTP card's display.

  • Mark the Save Password option.
    Don't mark it if you are connected via cables.

  • If a window does not automatically appear, click the VPN icon, or go to File-->New VPN connection, and fill-in the field according to the instructions.
