Savion - Setting Up POP
Mail X (Mac OS 10.4)

 


First Time...

 

  • If it is the first time you open Mail X, click Continue and proceed to step 3.

Step 1

 

  • Load Mail X

  • Click Mail

  • Click Preferences...

 

Step 2

 

  • Click the + sign at the bottom of the window


Step 3
  • Choose POP under Account Type

  • Account Description: Type savion (or any other name you wish)

  • Full Name: Type your full name

  • Email Address: Type your full email address in the format: user@savion.huji.ac.il

  • Click Continue

Step 4
  • Incoming mail server: Type: pm.savion.huji.ac.il

  • User Name: Type your username in Savion

  • Password: Type your password

  • Click Continue

  • You will get an error message - click again Continue

Step
  • Mark : Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

  • Authentication: Choose Password

  • Click Continue

Step 4
  • Click Connect

Step 5

 

  • Outgoing Mail Server:
    Type outmail.huij.ac.il

  • Click Continue

Step 6

 

  • Click Continue

Step 7

 

  • Click Create

  • Close the next window
