Step 1
Load Live Mail Click on the Windows Live Mail menu button (to the left of Home)

With your mouse cursor, hover over Options . In the Options pop up menu, click on Mail...

In the General tab, check the box next to Check for new messages every and set the amount of time (in minutes) in the adjacent dialog box.
