HUJImail - POP
Outlook Express

 


Setting POP in your HUJImail account

 

  • Login to your HUJImail account through the site: http://mail.huji.ac.il
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  • Mark the option: Enable POP
  • Click on the button: Save Changes

Note:
If it is the first time you setup an account in Outlook Express, a window will appear. Click Cancel and continue with Step 1.

Step

 

  • Load Outlook Express

  • Click Tools

  • Click Accounts...

 


Step

 

  • Click the tab: Mail

  • Click on the button Add and choose Mail...

Step

 

  • Display name : Type HUJImail, or any other name you wish.

Step

  • E-mail address : Type your full email address in the format: user@mail.huji.ac.il

Step

 

  • My incoming mail server is: Choose POP3

  • Incoming mail: Type pop.gmail.com

  • Outgoing mail: Type smtp.gmail.com

  • Click Next

Step

 

  • Account name: Type your full email address in the format: user@mail.huji.ac.il

  • Password: Type your password

Step

 

  • Click Finish

Step

 

  • Choose: pop.gmail.ac.il

  • Click Properties


Step

 

  • Click the tab : Advanced

  • Outgoing mail (SMTP): Type 465

  • Mark: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)

  • Incoming mail (POP3): Type 995

  • Mark: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)

  • Click Apply


Step

 

  • Click the tab: Servers

  • Mark the option: My server requires authentication

  • Click OK

  • Close the next window
