Setting IMAP in your HUJImail account

 

  • Login to your HUJImail account through the site: http://mail.huji.ac.il
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  • Mark the option: Enable IMAP
  • Click on the button: Save Changes

Step

 

  • Load Mail X

  • Click Mail

  • Click Preferences...

 

Step

 

  • Click the + sign at the bottom of the window


Step

 

  • Full Name: Type your full name

  • Email Address: Type your full email address in the format: user@mail.huji.ac.il

  • Password: Type your password

Step
  • Choose Echange IMAP under Account Type

  • Description: Type hujimail (or any other name you wish)

  • Incoming mail server: Type: imap.gmail.com

  • User Name: Type your full email address in the format: user@mail.huji.ac.il

  • Password: Type your password

  • Outlook Web Access Server: Type: m.google.com

Step

 

  • Outgoing Mail Server: Type smtp.gmail.com

  • Mark Use Authentication

  • If User name and Password fields are empty, Type your full email address in the format: user@mail.huji.ac.il and password.

  • Click Continue

Step

 

  • Mark: Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

  • Authentication: Choose Password

  • Click Continue

Step

 

  • Click Create

  • Close the next window

Step

 

  • Return to Mail settings (steps 1-2) and click Mailbox Behaviors

  • Unmark the option: Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox
