  • Authentication account - authentication is with a HUJI connection account:username@huji.ac.il.
    If you havn't got an account, register at : http://rap.huji.ac.il from a computer in your office/lab or from a public computer.

  • Mac Os 7 - You might not be able to connect to eduroam if the wireless network HUJI-netX is already defined. First remove the definitions of HUJI-netX and then try to connect


What is eduroam?

Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff to connect to the Internet via wireless connection across campus and when visiting other participating institutions. Click here for the eduroam website.


Activate Wireless
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.
  • Choose Turn AirPort On


    If the icon does'nt appear, follow our instructions below.


Configure eduroam
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.
  • Choose eduroam


Step


  • Type your RA username and password

  • Note: an OTP password is unusable

  • Username format:
  • username@huji.ac.il
  • Click Join

Step


  • Click Show Certificate


Step


  • Certificate details:
    • control.huji.ac.il
      issued by:
      DigiCert Assured ID Root

  • If you see the following certificate, Mark:
    Always trust these certificates

  • Click Continue

Step


  • Type your mac username and password

  • Click Update Settings



Connect and check status
Step

  • To connect - Click the AirPort icon from the upper-right side of screen and choose eduroam



Step



  • To check you are connected alright, choose Open Network Preferences...

Disconnect
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.

  • Choose Turn AirPort Off
