Wireless Connection - Instructions for HUJI-netX
Mac Os X (10.3-10.5)

Notes
alert Authentication account - authentication is with a HUJI connection account: username%ra.
If you havn't got an account, register at : http://rap.huji.ac.il from a computer in your office/lab or from a public computer.

Activate Wireless
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.
  • Choose Turn AirPort On


    If the icon does'nt appear, follow our instructions below.


Connect to HUJI-netX
Step


  • Open the application Internet Connect via the airport icon (or go to the Application folder and open it from there).


Step


  • Choose: New 802.1x Connection from the File menu item.

Step


  • Choose Edit Configuration Under Configuration


Step


  • Description: Type 802.1x-huji (or any other name you wish)

  • Network Port: Choose AirPort

  • User Name: Type your user%ra

  • Password: Type your password
    Note: an opt password is unusable

  • Wireless Network: Choose HUJI-netX

  • Authentication: PEAP only (unmark all the other options)

  • Click OK

Step


  • Click Connect

Step


  • If you get an error message, wait till the next window appears


Step


  • Click Show Certificate


Step


  • Certificate details:
    • Control.huji.ac.il
      issued by:
      DigiCert Assured ID Root

  • If you see the following certificate, Mark:
    Always trust these certificates

  • Click Continue


Disconnect
Step

  • Open the application Internet Connect via the airport icon (or go to the Application folder and open it from there).

  • Click 802.1x (if it's not marked already)

  • Click Disconnect
