Setting up username & password - Mac OS X guides

 

 

Dialup modem / ADSL Alcatel Usb

Step 1

 

  • Disconnect your connection (if it's active)

  • Go to the Apple --> System Preferences.

  • Double click the Network icon.

Step 2

 

  • Make sure your correct Location appears in the pop-up Location menu.

  • Choose Internal Modem from the Show pop-up menu.

Step 3

 

  • Click the PPP tab.

  • In the user name field type your username%ra

  • If you are connected via ADSL type:
    username%ra@huji

  • In the password field type
    your password (remember that you need to change the password every three months)
    or type a full OTP password (activation code + generated password from the card)

  • Mark Save Password

  • Click the Apply Now button.


ADSL Samsung / ECI

Step 1

 

  • Disconnect your connection (if it's active)

  • Go to the Apple --> System Preferences.

  • Double click the Network icon.

Step 2

 

  • Make sure your correct Location appears in the pop-up Location menu.

  • Choose Internal Modem from the Show pop-up menu.

Step 3

 

  • Choose Built-in Ethernet from the Show pop-up

  • Click the PPPoE tab.

  • In the user name field type your username%ra

  • If you are connected via ADSL type:
    username%ra@huji

  • In the password field type
    your password (remember that you need to change the password every three months)
    or type a full OTP password (activation code + generated password from the card)

  • Mark Save Password

  • Click the Apply Now button.


Cables / ADSL Home Alcatel - Ethernet
Dormitories / Public ports

  • Disconnect your connection (if it's active)

  • Go to Apple --> Location, and choose your correct location from the list.


  • Go to your application folder and double click Internet Connect.


  • In the user name field type your username%ra

  • If you are connected via ADSL type:
    username%ra@huji

  • In the password field type
    your password (remember that you need to change the password every three months)
    or type a full OTP password (activation code + generated password from the card)

  • If a window does not automatically appear, click the VPN icon, or go to File --> New VPN connection, and fill-in the field according to the instructions.
