Connecting to SAMBA VPN CLIENT


Mac OS X 10.5 and later versions

Notes:
  • You need to register for a HUJI connection account. If you haven't done so yet,
    connect to our registration site - http://rap.huji.ac.il.

  • CS users don't need to register, but need to use their OTP password.

  • If you have upgraded your system, reinstall the connection.


Step

Step
  • User name: Type the username of your HUJI connection account: user%ra
  • Password: Type your ra password, or an OTP password.
  • Click Login


  • NOTE to cs users:
    Type user:otp%tcs and use your OTP password.

Step
  • Choose your operating system:
    Click Macintosh

Step
  • Save the installation file on your computer:
    Choose Save File
    Click OK

Step
  • Double click the file you saved.

Note for System 10.8:

  • Open security and privacy from system preferences
  • ChooseAnywhere under the option:
    Allow Applications downloaded from



Step
  • Click the device vpn-2.3.0185 that was created.
    Double click the file vpn.pkg in it.

  • Click Continue

  • Click Continue

Step
  • Click Continue

Step
  • Click Agree

Step
  • Click Install

Step
  • Enter the name and password of the computer administrator.
    Click OK

Step
  • Click Close

Step
  • In order to operate the program go to Applications and enter the Cisco folder

Step
  • Double click the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client file

Step
  • User name: Type the username of your HUJI connection account: user%ra
  • Password: Type your ra password, or an OTP password.

  • NOTE to cs users:
    Type user:otp%tcs and use your OTP password.

  • Click Connect



Step
  • As long there is a connection, it is indicated by a small icon in the icons bar.
    If you wish to disconnect right click on that icon and click on Disconnect.
