Today's topics:
- News service status.
- Update about the new modems.
o News service status: As you have noticed, our incoming news feed
volume has been reduced drastically about a month ago. Machba
receives its news feed from IBM who claims that its news feed has
been reduced, and this is the reason we get very small amount. IBM
is trying to change its source of news feed which will improve
things, but it takes time.
Since Machba's line is overloaded, we cannot initiate an additional
news feed, thus we have nothing to do, except from waiting for IBM
to resolve the problem.
o New dialin modems update: From the replies we got so far about the
new number (02-6210333) we learn that most users get at least the
same service level and some get improved connection speeds. Hence,
you are encouraged to try the new number and inform us whether you
got better or worse resonse with them.
