- HUJIvms to receive a new hardware.
o User accounts are personal: We would like to remind everyone, that
the accounts given to you on the university's computers, and the
access granted through the modems, are intended *only* for your own
personal use, and only for academic purpose. Any other usage is
illegal, and might cause disciplinary measures.
We understand that with the fast growth of resources on the Internet
there is a great temptation to let other people from the family to
use your account for Internet access, but this is illegal. For this
type of access you can apply to the commercial Internet service
suppliers.
o HUJIvms to receive a new hardware: Next week we'll install new
hardware for HUJIvms. During that week we'll copy the users' disks
from the old system to the new one. While doing so, some users will
have their login directory inaccessible for a few hours. Mail will
be stalled for all users during these periods of time, but will not
be lost.
