Today's topics:
- Move from VAX/VMS to Alpha/VMS
o Move from VAX/VMS to Alpha/VMS: At the beginning of January 1997
our VAX will be replaced with an Alpha system. Both systems run
VMS, so you should notice no difference (except that the new system
is hopefully much faster). The difference will be noticed mainly by
users who wrote their own programs. These programs will have to be
recompiled and relinked.
Kineret is already an Alpha system, so if you want to be prepared in
advance, please login into Kineret (same username and password),
recompile and link your programs there. If you encounter problems,
please call the support group at 02-6584848.
