Today's topics:
- Change in modem login procedure.
o Up to now, all users of the VMS system could authenticate with the
modems by typing the VMS username and password. Users of other
systems had to append the machine name to their username. Starting
from 13/10/96 the users of the VMS system will have to do the same,
due to a change in the modem login program. When you dial to the
modems and asked for the username (at the modem level), hit:
Username%VMS
for example:
yehavi%vms
The password is left as usual. The rest of the login procedure is
unchanged.
