Today's topics:
- New modems.
o New modems: As you've all notices, we are running the new modems
(28.8) for a few weeks already. After the upgrade to the higher
speeds we've found that our terminal servers are lacking of memory
(with the slower speed modems this caused no problems). The
symptoms are mainly slow response and lines that do not answer. We
are working on getting more memory to the terminal servers, and it
is estimated to take a few weeks. When we have more memory we'll
also activate Novell access over dial-in.
During this week we plan to double the number of modems, and we hope
that after that you'll get less busy tones.
