The Computation Center of the Hebrew University is changing the
organization of the system and user services groups, in order to improve
the support given to users. The two groups have been merged and
redivided into the following three groups: VMS, UNIX and PC's. Each
group supports both the relevant operating system and the applications
running under that system (some of the programmers support the same
application under more than one system).
In order to improve the support for the VMS users, a new approach
will be taken: When you have a problem, please send Email to the
relevant person (a list of the programmers and their Email addresses
appears bellow). If the problem cannot be solved by using Email, an
appointment will be set up. If you have an urgent problem, please phone
before coming by. This way we will be able to give support over the
whole day, and not only during a restricted period. However, this
depends on the users' cooperation.
If you have a question which is general and you don't know who to
ask, send it to VMS-ADVICE@VMS; it will be sent to all the advisors
in the VMS group.
The phone numbers have also been reorganised. The phone number of
the VMS group s 65-84848, The Unix group will answer at 65-84539, and
the PC's group is accessible at 65-85669.
