 Configure Novell Client
 Logging on to Novell

 

Download Novell Client
Step

  • Download and save the client from our site.

 

Install Novell Client

Step

 

  • Double Click on current novell client.exe

  • Extract to c:\Novell.

  • Run: C:\Novell\Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows\setup.exe.
Step

 

  • Click Continue
Step

 

  • Highlight Select this line to install in English.

  • Click on Next.
Step

 

  • Check Custom Installation.


  • Click Next.


Step

 

  • Uncheck NMAS.

  • Leave NICI checked.

  • Click Next.

Step


  • Click Install.

 

Step


  • Click Install.

 

Step

 

  • Click Close.
  • DO NOT REBOOT!

 



Configure Novell Client

Step

 

  • Go to Control Panel.

  • Click on Network and Sharing Center.

  • Click on Local Area Connection.

Step


  • Choose Properties.
Step


FOR VISTA ONLY!

  • Click on Continue.

Step

 

  • Select Novell Client for Windows.

  • Click Properties.

Step


  • Click on Service Location tab.

  • Under Scope List enter:"slp-minhali"

  • Under Directory Agent List" enter "132.64.52.85"

  • Click Add.

  • Enter "132.64.52.157"

  • Click Add.


  • Click OK.

 

 
Step

 

  • Click on Advanced Login tab.

  • Find NMAS Authentication.

  • Under Settings choose Off.

  • Restart your computer


Logging on to Novell

Step



  • Enter Novell Username and Password.


  • Click on the arrow.
Step



  • In the Tree portion enter ONE of the following ip addresses:

    132.64.52.85
    132.64.52.157
  • Select your context by clicking on Contexts

  • Choose the context assigned to your username.

  • Click OK.

  • Click Apply.


Step



  • If your Novell password does not match your computer password you will receive this screen.
  • Enter computer username.

  • Enter computer password.

  • Check Change your Windows password to match your Novell password.

  • Click on the arrow.
