Wireless Connection - HUJI-netX
Troubleshooting for Mac Os X (10.5-6)

Remove HUJI-netX Profile
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.
  • Choose Open Network Preferences...




Step


  • Click: Advanced

Step


  • Click the tab 802.1x

  • Choose The User Pofile name

  • Click the Minus sign (-) from the bottom left corner of the window



Setup HUJI-netX Profile
Step


  • Click the Plus sign (+) from the bottom left corner of the window

  • Choose: Add System Profile

  • User Name: Type your user%ra

  • Password: Type your password

  • Wireless Network: Choose HUJI-netX

  • Authentication: PEAP only (unmark all the other options)

  • Click OK

Step


  • Click Apply

  • Make sure HUJI-netX is selected under Network Name

Step


[If the Verify Certificate window doesn't show up or you get an error, turn AiroPrt off, turn it on again and choose the network again]

  • Click Show Certificate

Step


  • Certificate details:
    • control.huji.ac.il
      issued by:
      DigiCert Assured ID Root

  • If you see the following certificate, Mark:
    Always trust these certificates

  • Click Continue


Step


  • Authenticate with the username and password of your Mac Os X

 

 

 

 

 


Connect and check status
Step

  • Click the AirPort icon from the upper-right side of screen.

  • Choose Open Network Preferences...


Step

  • In order to connect, choose the network: HUJI-netX

  • If you were connected succefully, you will receive: Status: Connected

Disconnect
Step

  • Click the Airport icon from the upper-right side of screen.

  • Choose Turn AirPort Off
