News bulletin #145
7-December-1999
Today's topics:
- ISDN supports 128K.
- Services during the weekend of 31/12 - 1/1/2000.
o ISDN: We now support ISDN with 128K (two calls in parallel). There
might be some edge cases where you get connected with two channels but
can't work; in such a case wait a minute or two and try connecting
again. The reason for this is that the equipment manufacturer did not
solve the problem yet, but with the help of Bezeq we managed to bypass
the problem in most cases.
o Roll-over to year 2,000: Most of our systems will be left working
during the weekend of 31/12/99-1/1/2000. Only some of the Novell and
NT servers will be brought down as a precaution step. We expect that
the network, modems, VMS and Unix systems will operate as usual.
