Today's topics:
- Problems with ISDN 128K.
- Tomcha new phone numbers.
- Ein-Kerem news bulletin.


o ISDN 128k problems:  Due to problems with the  equipment  at  our  end
  ISDN  cannot be currently used in 128k mode (i.e.  two channels).  You
  can use it only at 64K speed.  We are working on finding a solution to
  this.


o Tomcha new phone numbers:  There are problems with the  current  phone
  number  of Tomcha.  The new number is 02-5611911 and the fax number is
  02-5669228.


o Computer Authority, Ein-Kerem branch - News Bulletin!

  A. New and Improved Central Fax Services.
  -----------------------------------------------

  The Ein-Kerem Branch is happy to announce the Continuation and Improvement
  of the Central Fax Service. Using this service allows you to send and
  receive fax messages directly from/to your desktop computer both to local
  and international fax numbers. There is no need to print the message, run
  to the fax machine, dial and wait for transmission, all you need to do is
  print the document to the virtual "fax printer", select the number and the
  server does all the rest!

  B. Central BackUp Service (Ein-Kerem Users Only).
  -----------------------------------------------------

  The Ein-Kerem Branch is offering backup services in all sorts of forms
  ranging from a daily full backup of your computer to the archiving of your
  valuable data on CD.

  C. Get Your AntiVirus Update Directly Through Your E-Mail.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------

  You can still register to our antivirus update list. by doing so you will
  receive the update to NAV/VIREX through your e-mail. To register send an
  e-mail with the subject NAV to diego@md2.huji.ac.il and state if you have a
  MAC or PC.

  D. Remote Support With Timbuktu.
  -------------------------------------

  The Ein-Kerem Branch still have a few licenses left for Timbuktu, A program
  that enables us to remotely connect to your computer. By using Timbuktu we
  are able to reduce the wait time for support and we offer support on a
  wider range of subjects. The license for Timbuktu is 35$ per station
  (PC/MAC). If you are a Timbuktu client you can also buy the full version
  (68$) and install it at home, this will enable you to connect from your
  home computer to your office computer and work on it as if you were sitting
  in your office. You can even work on your office MAC when you have a PC at
  home!!!. A combined license for the Hebrew U. is 103$ instead of 200$
  retail. The support with Timbuktu will be given to you by your Computer
  Authority Branch (I.E. Ein-Kerem, Mount Scopus, Givat Ram and Rehovot).

  E. Software Collection CD.
  ----------------------------

  The Ein-Kerem Branch has developed a CD with a varaiety of softwares and
  utilities that can help you in installing the communication at home and
  with the day to day tasks you have. The CD can be obtained from the
  Computer Authority - Ein-Kerem Branch at the price of 50NIS for
  Academic/Administrative staff and 40NIS for Students.
