Checking your hard drives - Windows (98 and up)

 


Step 1

 

  • Double click the icon My Computer from your desktop.

Step 2

 

  • Right click on the icon of the drive you wish to check.


  • Click Properties.

Step 3

 

  • Click the tab : Tools.
  • Click the button: Check Now...

Step 4

 

  • DON'T mark the options
  • Click Start

Step 5


  • If this window appears - your hard disk is fine.

  • Click OK and check the other drives that appears under My Computer (back to Step 1).

  • If you get an error message - call a technician.
